Note by Marie Dean Speakman: Maiden name of Mary was spelled "Fearnley" on Myrtle Devenport Dean's family group sheet. This was prepared, it would appear, before her trip to England in 1965 and before she got a copy of the marriage license of John Pickersgill and Mary Fearsly, as she does not list it as one of the sources of information on her family group sheet. In studying the signature on the marriage license (written twice) it would appear that Mary's name is Mary Fearsly.
