Event-Misc* He quarreled with King's Lynn, when he sought to have a mace carried before him in the town and was attacked and wounded by the townsmen in 1377.1 
Event-Misc During the peasants' revolt in Norfolk, he personally led an assault at North Walsham and overpowered the rebels in hand-to-hand fighting. Because of the rigor with which he put down the rebellion, he was unpopular in Norfolk in 1381.1 
Event-Misc He was chosen by Pope Urban VI to lead a campaign against the followers of Clement VIII in Flanders. In 1382.1 
Event-Misc On the accession of Henry IV, he remained loyal to Richard II, not being reconciled until 1401 in 1399.1 
Death* He died on 23 August 1406.1 
Burial* He was buried at Cathedral Church, Norwich, Norfolk, England.1
