Per Ann Agatha Walker, child #1, they were members of the Wesleyan Methodist Church and attended the sectarian school., William Gibson held an office in his church and was a local preacher when they were baptized by Parley P. Pratt. Ann Agatha also says that they lived at Leek, Staffordshire, England on Derby street when she was born. She says they moved to Manchester where she attended the school in which her father taught. Six years later, they moved to Pendelton and it was here they first heard the gospel.
