Alzheimer's Disease is a degenerative disease of the brain that results in gradual loss of mental functions, usually beginning with loss of memory. It is very common and as the population lives longer and longer, we may expect that large numbers of people will eventually suffer from Alzheimer's Disease.

Organizations

 Alzheimer's Association.

    This is the largest service organization in the nation supporting patients and families with Alzheimer's Disease.  They have local chapters in Salem, Corvallis, and Portland which run support groups.
